The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams will start on 11 September,
as per the revised schedule published by the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
Exams for 61 subjects over 13 days are still pending due to the variety of subjects across departments.
Each student must take exams in 13 subjects, including four mandatory ones: Bangla and English (both first and second papers) and ICT. The remaining eight subjects are optional. The HSC and equivalent exams began on 30 June across all education boards except Sylhet. However, after eight days, the exams scheduled for 18 July were postponed due to the quota reform movement, with the government subsequently postponing them three more times.
A new schedule was published, with exams set to begin on 11 August and the written exams expected to conclude by 8 September. However, due to the ongoing mass-student movement and the resignation of the Sheikh Hasina-led government, the education boards have stated that conducting the exams is no longer feasible.
